Youth Drop-In Centre: Open 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre, Grand Marais. Youths and adults welcome! To volunteer, or for more information, call George at 754-3298.
Hall Walking: In the city, they walk the mall; in Grand Marais, we walk the hall. Join us for some fitness and/or some camaraderie and some coffee. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre, Grand Marais.

RM's of St. Clements and Alexander Joint Information Meeting: Saturday, May 26, 2007, 1 - 3 p.m. at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre, Grand Marais. The GMPOA encourages all residents and property owners of St. Clements and of Alexander to attend this annual event. Reeves and councillors will present information concerning a number of issues, after which they will take your questions. If you have an issue, prepare your question in advance. Members of the GMPOA who are unable to attend the meeting can send their question(s) to .
Fundraiser Fun Bike Ride: Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 9:30 A.M. in Grand Marais. This is a leasurly paced bike ride in support of the Winnipeg Humane Society and Darcy's Animal Rescue Center (a no kill animal shelter) in conjunction with the Beaches Half Marathon. Course starts at the Sand Bar Motor Inn, following the Trans Canada trail through Grand Beach and Lester Beach and finally to Hillside Beach Road where we will stop for ice cream / cappucino, and then turn around and head back to the Sand Bar Motor Inn again, about a 40Km round trip which should finish around 1 P.M. Then we will stop for lunch at the Sand Bar Motor Inn. Registration is $15 and starts @ 9:00 A.M. Canada Day Fireworks: Sunday, July 1, 2007, beginning at 10:30 p.m., at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre. Events prior to the show. Sponsored by the Grand Beach and Area Development Corporation (GBADC) and the GMPOA.

All residents, property owners and friends of Grand Marais are encouraged to attend a public presentation of a proposal concerning the future redevelopment of Grand Marais. Destination Grand Marais Presentation: Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 10 A.M. to Noon at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre. Thomas, Hilderman and Frank, consultants for Destination Grand Marais, are scheduled to present to the general public their plan for the proposed redevelopment of Grand Marais. The RM invested $15,000.00 in this plan. We encourage you to attend this presentation. Bring your family, friends and neighbours. This will be the sole opportunity for the public to have input!! The Second Annual Fire Truck Pull: Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 4 - 6 P.M. in front of the OLD fire hall on Grand Beach Road in Grand marais. We plan to raise the remaining funds needed to purchase a thermal imaging camera for our new East Beaches Fire and Rescue Service. (click here for information about last year's event)

GMPOA Volunteer Recognition Social and Fundraiser: Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 8 P.M. to 1 A.M. at the Grand Marais Recreation Centre. Come honour those who have supported the GMPOA over the past 2 years.
